What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Child Care Assistant position at Edina Public Schools?
Do you love working with kids? Come join Edina Public Schools’ Community Education Department for the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking for individuals with a passion for childcare to assist our Program Supervisors in the planning and implementation of the summer school age program. No formal training is required.

Your Role Will Include:
- Creating and running extra-curricular activities for students in kindergarten through 5th grade, including art, music, games, and more.
- Supervising lunch, recess, attendance and dismissal.
- Helping with setup of the classroom and activities.
Qualifications:
- No formal childcare experience is required - we are looking for individuals who have a passion for helping people and enjoy working with kids.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check.
- HS Diploma or equivalent
Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive pay, starting at $16.48/hour up to $22.66/hour based on experience.
- On the job paid training for first aid, CPR, child development, and working with students with special needs.

Location & Shift Times:
- Edina Elementary School Sites.
- Part Time PM: 2 PM - 6 PM.
