Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage children in safe, structured after school activities
- Assist with homework help and academic support for school-age children
- Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and recreational activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe childcare environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians during pick-up
- Monitor student behavior and implement positive behavior management strategies
- Follow all childcare safety protocols and emergency procedures
Requirements:
- Experience working with school-age children in a childcare, education, or camp setting
- Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with kids
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in education or child development a plus
