What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Program Leader - After School position at Northwest Community Center?
As a Youth Program Leader you will engage youth (K-5th grade) in after school activities that enable them to develop self-confidence and reach their full potential. Helps to plan and implement youth program and activities, while maintain a positive, safe environment.
- Develop commitment from youth to ensure active participation in programs and activities.
- Act as a positive role model for youth.
- Facilitate programming in: Character and Leadership Development, Health and Life skills, Art, Sports and Fitness and Recreation.
- Provide recognition to youth through positive validations, incentives and affirmation on a regular basis.
- Attend and participant in all staff trainings and staff meetings.
- Follow all policies and procedures set by the NWCC, supervisors, and Executive Director
- Work as a team with other Youth Leaders to ensure all youth are receiving high quality programming.
- Maintain regular attendance.
Must be available Monday - Friday, 2:00pm-6:30pm.
Pay: $15 per hour
