Compensation Range: $200K - $275K

About The Role
We're seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team and help scale our Node.js applications on AWS. You'll work across our product suite to build robust, scalable systems that serve educators and students nationwide.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable backend systems.
- Integrate with clients' systems in robust and fault tolerant ways.
- Debug and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with frontend developers.
- 5 years of experience in backend development, with at least 3 years working with Node.js.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (containers, pub/sub, managed DBs).
- Experience building and scaling applications.
- Knowledge of API design and development.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage complex systems.
- AI/ML implementation in production environments.
- Programming language implementation / Computer algebra experience.
- High agency with good taste.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Comfort with complexity.
