Position – Housekeeping Aide
Location: Edgerton Care Center – Edgerton, WI (on-site position)
Status: Full-Time

Job Summary:
The housekeeping Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment for
residents, visitors, and staff throughout the skilled nursing facility. The Housekeeping Aide performs routine cleaning
and infection control procedures in accordance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and established safety
standards. Duties commonly include cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, floors, and handling waste removal
to support resident health and well-being.

- Housekeeping Aides hourly wage: $16.00 – $18.76 per hour dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, offices, and common areas.
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect high- touch surfaces according to infections prevention protocols.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Replenish supplies including paper towels, soap, tissue, and sanitizing products.
- Clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures, mirrors, windows, furniture, and equipment.
- Perform deep cleaning of resident rooms following discharge, transfer, or as schedules.
- Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and supply rooms in a clean and organized manner.
- Follow proper procedure for handling hazardous materials, chemicals, and infectious waste.
- Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and damaged equipment to the appropriate department.
- Follow facility infection control, safety, and emergency preparedness procedures.
- Interact with resident's, families, and staff in a respectful and professional manner.
- Protect resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA regulations.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Must be English literate and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous health care setting experience preferred
