EDGE PLASTICS IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED PROCESS TECHNICIAN.
INDIVIDUAL MUST HAVE HANDS ON, PROVEN PROCESSING KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WITH PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDS AND MACHINES.
Starting pay based on experience.
Position Summary: The Injection Molding Process Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving molding process issues, including material flow, temperature control and cycle times. The Process Technician verifies correct set-up of molds, materials and processes and auxiliary equipment before machine start up to ensure part conformity and quality products.
Job Responsibilities:

- Monitors and troubleshoots existing process parameters and production standards of plastic injection molding machines.
- Identifies and corrects problems that affect product quality, excess scrap, and cycle times.
- Start up, process and shut down injection molding equipment and lines.
- Assists with/has experience pulling and setting injection molds
- Assists with preventative maintenance of injection molding machines and robots
- Conducts mold and auxiliary equipment repairs as needed.
- Cleans molds, removes accumulated grease, oil, water to ensure proper working order and safe work environment.
- Works closely with maintenance personnel to ensure any maintenance and tooling issues are being addressed.
- Mix raw material for injection molding system as needed.
- Perform all duties as directed under the Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Processing Manager, Production Supervisor.
- Assists on production floor as business needs dictate.
- Maintains a clean work environment.
- Performs all tasks in compliance with company and OSHA safety policies and protocols and all applicable codes and standards.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of High School Degree
- Certification in Injection Molding preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of working knowledge of Plastic injection molding
- Proven experience setting/pulling molds
- Experience driving Tow Motor and operating overhead cranes
- Basic computer knowledge using Microsoft suite.
- Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
The Processing Manager must have the following abilities:
- Walk, Stand, bend, stretch, climb for up to 12 hours at a time.
- Possess arm-hand steadiness, manual dexterity, multi-limbed coordination, and physical strength to perform tooling functions.
- Visually inspect machines/tools, materials, and products to ensure quality and client metrics are met.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs at a time and greater weight with assistance.
- Read and comprehend written instructions and ensure instructions are met and achieved upon review of completed product. Must be able to properly record quality related concerns as they arise.
- Ability to communicate in professional tone and manner in both verbal and written means.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a collaborative team setting.
- Ability to multi-task with a high sense of urgency
- Must be able to work a rotational schedule and available on weekends.
