Thermoplastics Molding Technician -- Process & Setup

A new order hits the board. You review specs, prepare the injection or blow molding machine, and set the parameters. Early parts are measured; you make subtle adjustments to hit quality targets. A hiccup appears—you troubleshoot, correct, and record your changes. By shift-end, production is on track, the area is spotless, and your documentation is airtight.

• Set up and operate molding equipment to meet production requirements.
• Monitor and fine-tune processes to maintain consistent part quality.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical/process issues.
• Work closely with engineering and production to improve processes and resolve problems.
• Log production data and maintain thorough records of machine performance.
• Assist in onboarding and training teammates on process and safety best practices.
• Uphold safety standards and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Physically capable of standing and walking for long periods—up to 12 hours per shift.

• High school diploma/GED; technical training or certifications are a plus.
• Experience as a molding process technician or a closely related position.
• Comprehensive knowledge of molding processes and equipment.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Comfort working independently and in a team environment.
• Clear communicator with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Availability for flexible schedules and overtime when needed.
