Role Description The Assistant Property Manager – Commercial is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, OR. This position supports the daily operations of commercial properties, including coordinating maintenance and repair requests, inspecting common areas, and ensuring building standards are consistently met. The role assists with tenant relations by responding to inquiries, managing service requests, supporting move-ins and move-outs, and helping maintain strong tenant satisfaction. The Assistant Property Manager helps with lease administration by tracking key dates, preparing basic documents, and maintaining accurate records and files. Additional responsibilities include assisting with budgeting and expense tracking, processing invoices, supporting vendor management and contracts, and preparing routine reports for ownership and senior management. The role also contributes to compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, supports property improvement projects, and collaborates with the property management team on operational initiatives.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property management, commercial real estate, or a related customer-facing operations role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, email) and able to learn property management systems quickly.
