Responsibilities:
- Assist with triage and assignment of incoming maintenance requests
- Ensure work orders are progressing through their cycle in a timely manner, and are properly documented and closed as appropriate
- Assist the lead maintenance coordinator with one-time and ongoing projects
- Perform move-in and move-out inspections
- Follow up on vendor estimates
- Follow up on vendor scheduling
- Help source vendors for emergencies
- Assist with the purchase of supplies and materials
- Answer phones
- Assist the Portland Homes team with whatever is needed at any given time
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in property management, facilities coordination, or a related field preferred
- Strong understanding of home maintenance and knowledge of which vendors are appropriate for different types of repairs (e.g., plumbing, HVAC, electrical, landscaping, maintenance and general contracting)
- Experience coordinating vendors and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with move-in, move-out, and annual inspections
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions regarding repair scope and vendor selection
- Comfortable using property management software (e.g, Rentvine, Appfolio)
- Strong computer skills. Comfortable with spreadsheets
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Able to navigate stairs, lift items weighing up to 50lbs, and stand on a step ladder
