Job Title: Assistant Data Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Data Manager to support our data processing operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn new technologies. This role involves managing data workflows, assisting with specialized data repair tasks, producing monthly reports, and coordinating effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Workflow Management: Manage all aspects of the data processing workflow, including multiple levels of quality assurance (QA) and the tracking/processing of incoming and outgoing data for multiple clients across various platforms, primarily using Google Sheets.
- Data Repair Assistance: Support odometry repair and other specialized data tasks using Python scripts within PowerShell or similar environments.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain monthly reports tracking total footage processed for multiple clients, utilizing Google Slides for presentations.
- Communication & Coordination: Facilitate seamless communication and coordination of tasks between the data team, other departments, and clients via email and Discord.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of focus and attention to detail throughout all data handling procedures to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Learning & Development: Potential opportunities to learn and apply industry standards such as PACP (Pipeline Assessment Certification Program) and MACP (Manhole Assessment Certification Program).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Computer literate with basic knowledge of spreadsheet software (Google Sheets proficiency is a plus). Familiarity with basic scripting concepts or willingness to learn Python in a command-line interface is highly valued.
- Problem Solving: A strong ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and propose effective solutions.
