What you'll be responsible for:
- Engagement with a highly efficient and tactical technical team to create high quality mechanical design solutions providing top notch user experience.
- Contribute to the entire product development lifecycle that impacts the entire company.
- Exhibit a proactive approach in identifying and addressing engineering challenges at every stage, fostering a sense of ownership and accountability.
- Develop and implement robust assembly verification and system validation tests to guarantee functionality and durability.
- Hands-on engagement with all products.
- Design, document and manage all aspects of mechanical product development with both internal and external resources.
- Compile requirements, functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
- Optimize existing platforms through systematic and inclusive problem resolution.
- Support all programmatic efforts to ensure accurate and scheduled product delivery.
- Developing product testing and production acceptance protocols.
- Providing solutions that support the highest levels of quality and reliability to various industry accepted performance and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience for success:
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a closely related field, with 3 years of experience designing and developing robotic or mechatronic systems. Master degree preferred.
- Proficiency with Solidworks or similar CAD software.
- Proficiency with Solidworks PDM.
- Expertise in the selection and seamless integration of motors, encoders, and sensors into robotic systems.
- Hands-on experience crafting functional prototypes and proof-of-concept models.
- Knowledge of the operation and upkeep of FDM and SLS 3D printers.
- Part number creation and management.
- Practical and relatable knowledge of FMEA efforts and usefulness.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Familiar and comfortable with field testing, customer support and deployment.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced R&D environment.
- Team oriented, business focused and professionally motivated.
