Accounting Manager
eda consultants inc. is seeking an accounting professional with a positive attitude and experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. This position handles daily tasks like data entry, processing invoices, and managing accounts payable and receivable. This position will prepare financial reports, reconcile bank statements, and maintain accurate financial records. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Maintenance:
· Entering financial transactions and data into accounting systems (Ajera software).
· Maintaining organized and accurate financial records.
· Ensure proper protection of confidential corporate information.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
· Prepare and send invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding invoices to make payment arrangements.
· Maintain precise and organized records of incoming payments and financial transactions.
· Monitoring accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies.
Financial Reporting and Reconciliation:
· Prepare financial reports and statements including quarterly and year-end reports.
· Assist project managers with financial information to track project costs.
· Reconcile bank statements and account balances.
· Coordinate with accounting firm for payment of corporate taxes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Organizational Skills:
· Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks.
· Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
· Strong ability to manage time effectively and multitask.
Technical Proficiency:
· General knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial management.
· Mastery of common office software, such as Microsoft Office/Excel and accounting software. (Ajera experience strongly preferred)
Communication and Leadership Skills:
· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for interacting with staff, clients and management.
Problem-Solving:
· Ability to work independently from general instructions.
· Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Experience:
· Minimum of 2 years experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
· A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
