Job Summary:
We are seeking a professional, compassionate, and organized Front Desk Representative to join our Cardiology–Primary Care Clinic. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the provider calendar.
- Check patients in and out, verify insurance information, and collect copayments.
- Maintain and update patient records accurately in the electronic medical system (EHR/EMR).
- Coordinate with clinical and billing staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely service.
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues or escalate them to appropriate staff members.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes, emails, and medical documents.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and waiting area.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or certification in medical office administration preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare or medical office setting (cardiology or primary care experience is a plus).
