Salary: Starting at $83,000 and up, based on experience
The Impact You'll Make:
Lead and oversee the dispatch team, ensuring efficient scheduling, routing, and tracking of fleet operations.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve fleet performance, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time deliveries, fuel efficiency, vehicle utilization, and driver productivity.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure proper service and compliance of all fleet vehicles.
Utilize fleet management software and TMS (Transportation Management System) to optimize dispatching and tracking.
Train and mentor dispatchers and fleet personnel on best practices, safety standards, and performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
Manage relationships with drivers, vendors, and transportation partners to ensure smooth operations.
Identify and resolve operational issues, improving workflows to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
Develop reports and data analysis tools to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
5 years of experience in fleet logistics, transportation management, or dispatch operations.
Proven leadership experience managing dispatch teams and fleet operations.
Strong knowledge of fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and dispatch tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Strong understanding of DOT regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
Effective communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and external partners.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with a TMS or fleet optimization solutions.
Certification in transportation, logistics, or fleet management (e.g., CTP, CLTD, or similar).
Knowledge of cost-saving strategies, fuel management, and driver retention best practice.
