Reverb Helper

            POSITION DESCRIPTION:

            The purpose of this position is to monitor and maintain the operation of the Reverb furnace.

1. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists in monitoring and maintaining the feed system.
• Performs clean-up duties around the area assigned.
• Properly maintain lead and slag launder(s) fluidity.
• Certified to Operate mobile equipment such as frontend loader, fuel cart and forklift to assist feeding the Furnace raw materials and reagents.
• Certified to Operate Overhead Crane
• Adhere to all environmental rules and regulations as set forth by Revere’s Environmental policy. 
• Other duties as assigned.
• Learn to monitor and operate Furnace SCADA systems.

1. PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess a valid US Driver’s License
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in industrial/manufacturing environment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Able to perform physical labor
• Authorized to work in the United States

1. POST-HIRE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

• Environmental training applicable to the job
• Safety training for applicable to the job
• Job instructional training, learn the Plant/department rules, procedures, safety practices and environmental procedures.
• ISO 9001 awareness, objectives and targets
• Certified to operate front end loader
• Certified to operate forklift
• Certified to operate fuel cart
• ISO 14001 awareness, objectives and targets
• OHSAS 18001 awareness, objectives and targets
• ISO 50001 awareness, objectives and targets
• LEAN JTE awareness, objectives, targets and participation

1. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to talk and/or hear.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.   Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat.  The employee is frequently exposed to vibration.  The employee occasionally works in high precarious places, in outside weather conditions, and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.  Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
