Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts, wall-to-wall counts (as scheduled), and physical audits; research variances and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate on-hand balances.
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions in ERP systems; record receipts, transfers, issues, adjustments, and returns; ensure item master/location data is current.
- Receive, label, store, and organize inventory; monitor minimum/maximum levels and reorder points; identify and help prevent stockouts, overstocks, and obsolete/slow-moving inventory.
- Verify inbound shipments against purchase orders/packing slips; inspect for quantity/condition
- Investigate root causes (process gaps, damage, mispicks, incorrect units of measure, location errors) and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain organized records (count sheets, audit results, adjustments, etc. for inventory reports.
- Store, pack, and handle materials in accordance with safety requirements and company procedures; maintain clean, orderly, clearly labeled storage areas.
- Support process improvements for receiving, put-away, picking, and counting to increase accuracy, efficiency, and traceability.
- Identifies high-demand items and supports continuity plans by maintaining accurate item data and communicating potential shortages.
- Coordinates with internal teams (warehouse, operations, and inventory leadership) to resolve inventory discrepancies and support material availability.
- Operates forklift truck when necessary.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience in inventory control
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to perform basic math and maintain accurate records with strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of inventory transactions
- Forklift operator certification
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with team lifts as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely use required tools and equipment and work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
You Will Excite Us If
- 2 years of inventory control experience, including audit/cycle count
- Experience using inventory systems such as ERP/ Excel
- Familiarity with root – cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
- Problem-solving and investigative mindset
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing tasks
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Forklift operator experience handling long stock up to 30 feet
