Human Resources Generalist
Position Summary: The HR Generalist supports the full range of HR functions, partnering with managers and employees to ensure effective and compliant HR practices. Responsibilities include recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, policy application, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefit programs.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, eligibility, and life events.
- Assist in the administration of leave programs and ensure compliance with related regulations.
- Support recruitment and selection processes including sourcing, screening, and onboarding new employees.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and maintain HR records and documentation.
- Assist managers with performance management processes, including reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain accurate job descriptions, compensation structures, and HR policies.
- Support employee engagement and communication initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and prepare related reports.
- Maintain current knowledge of HR best practices, trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of five years of related experience.
- Experience with HRIS systems preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, and HR best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
