Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs a wide range of screening and diagnostic tests relative to communicative functioning specific to the areas of receptive language, expressive language, articulation, fluency and voice.
Evaluates and diagnoses speech disorders through interviews, observation and other methods.
Develops speech and language goals/objectives for individuals, supervises implementation of goals/objectives, conducts periodic reviews of goals/objectives, and makes necessary changes.
Develops and implements therapeutic intervention strategies relative to communication dysfunction.
Analyzes and interprets progress related to goals and objectives, prepares progress reports, and adjusts goals as appropriate. Instructs children in compensatory skills with augmentative and alternative communication.
Qualifications
Education
Preferred
Masters or better in Speech-Language Pathology.
