Student loan repayment options Pet Insurance Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivilent Certified Medical Assistant or ability to become certified within 3 months of employment 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant Job Responsibilities: Greets patients in a warm and welcoming environment and answers telephones. Updates and files patient medical records. Collects patient medical histories and records vital signs. Prepares patients for examination and explains treatment procedures to patients as needed. Gathers and prepares laboratory specimens, and may perform basic laboratory tests on the premises. Disposes contaminated supplies. Instructs patients about medication and special diets, and orders/obtains injectable medications from the onsite pharmacy as directed by a physician.
