Your Role as a Direct Support Associate
In our Day Support Options program, you will engage individuals with developmental disabilities in meaningful activities and work closely with them to help achieve their personal goals. You will also contribute to their individual development plans (IDPs), encouraging progress and helping participants thrive both in our center and out in the community.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Transportation: Safely driving participants to and from activities in company vehicles
Participant Engagement: Leading fun and enriching activities like arts and crafts, job skills, community involvement, socializing, light exercise, music, and more
Goal Support: Assisting participants in achieving goals outlined in their individual development plans (IDPs)
Personal Care: Supporting participants with daily living activities, including lifting, bathroom, transferring, or repositioning when necessary
Record Keeping: Documenting attendance, goals, and behaviors using our online system, Therap
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking caring and reliable individuals who want to make a difference:
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in human services, supporting individuals with disabilities
Driving: Valid driver’s license with 5 years of clean driving experience (company vehicles provided)
Dependability: Strong attendance record and reliability are key
Certifications (Optional but a Plus): CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, and Physical/Psychological Management Training certifications are a bonus
