Extruder / Thermoformer Operator
Essential Functions:
- Setting up, operating or tending machines that extrude or draw thermoplastic materials into pipes, rods, hoses, wires, bars or structural shapes.
- Procedures by reading and interpreting specifications.
- Regulating machines to maintain the proper temperature, speed and feed rates.
- Inspecting and measuring finished product to ensure they meet specifications.
- Documenting and reporting any issues or deviations in the production process.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Operate and trouble shoot plastics extrusion equipment.
- Monitor and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance.
- Perform quality checks and measurements to ensure product meets specifications
- Maintain clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
- Strong communication skill
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume production environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Employee will regularly be required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, frequently required to climb stairs.
- Bending, twisting, up and down steps, kneeling, stooping.
- Prolonged periods of time standing / walking on concrete.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
- Pushing, pulling skids with pallet jack.
