- POSITION SUMMARY
- Provides radiation treatment plans in accordance with radiation oncologists' prescriptions under the direction of the physicist. Performs calculations and reviews radiation treatment plans with the radiation oncologist
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education
- Completion of an Associates or Bachelors in Dosimetry or Physics or formalized on the job training program.
Minimum Experience- 2 to 3 years of experience working in radiation dosimetry
Required Registration/License/Certification- Eligible for Medical Dosimetrist Certification and must become board certified within 2 years of hire.
Preferred Education- Master's or Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in the physical or biological sciences or is a Registered Radiation Therapist.
Preferred Experience- 5 years of experience performing dosimetry under the supervision of a Certified Medical Dosimetrist or Medical Physicist.
Preferred Registration/License/Certification- Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) or obtain certification within 2 years after DOH
