This is a full-time, on-site position based in Columbus, GA. The Dosimetrist is responsible for developing and implementing individualized radiation treatment plans for patients in collaboration with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other members of the oncology team. Daily tasks include creating and optimizing radiation dose distributions, ensuring accurate radiation delivery, and adhering to established safety protocols. Additional duties involve maintaining accurate records, participating in quality assurance programs, and staying current with advancements in dosimetry techniques and technology.
- Proficiency in Treatment Planning and Dosimetry
- Understanding of Radiation principles and Radiation Safety protocols
- Foundational knowledge of Medical Physics
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Board certification in Medical Dosimetry or eligibility to obtain certification is preferred
- Experience with treatment planning systems and familiarity with associated technologies is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience preferred
