Carpenter

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our construction team. This role involves performing a variety of carpentry and labor tasks on commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, framing, trim carpentry, and working with hand and power tools. This position offers opportunities to develop a broad skill set in the construction industry, including restoration, remodeling, and fabrication work. Candidates should be prepared to work on-site in diverse environments, adhering to safety standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute projects accurately
• Perform framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, siding, and roofing tasks
• Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently
• Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and drywall installation as needed
• Conduct restoration activities including water damage remediation, mold remediation, plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration
• Install cabinets, flooring (tile laying), cabinetry fixtures, metal studs, and perform remodeling tasks
• Handle heavy lifting and material movement on-site while maintaining safety protocols
• Measure dimensions accurately for project requirements and cut materials accordingly
• Assist in construction estimating and project planning when required
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout each project phase

Experience

• Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on carpentry or related trades
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for various construction tasks
• Hands-on experience with framing (wood or metal), trim carpentry, roofing, siding, drywall finishing, and fixture installation
• Familiarity with the use of hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws)
• Experience in restoration industry activities such as mold remediation or water damage restoration is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations applicable to construction sites
• Additional skills such as CNC operation, electrical or plumbing experience, masonry skills, or remodeling expertise are advantageous for certain projects
