What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist position at Early Start Therapy?
We are looking for
Occupational Therapists to join us in our mission to transform
pediatric therapy through a clinical approach that is holistic,
family-centered and fun.
We are looking for

only help children thrive within their day-to-day activities,
but also to empower their families in caring for their needs.
The Occupational
Therapist is responsible for collaborating with the rest of our
interdisciplinary team to develop holistic treatment plans to
support children with a range of developmental needs. The ideal
candidate has a strong background in research and evidence-based
practice, as well as at least two years of experience working
with children and their families. Familiarity with early
intervention services delivery models is strongly preferred.

Providing comprehensive client evaluations with a focus on identifying disordered patterns of development and the functional impact of diagnosed disorders.

Planning and providing evidence-based, culturally appropriate treatment which reduces diagnosed disorders where appropriate, improves clients’ functional capacity, and increases clients’ participation within their natural environment.

Delegating treatment services to support personnel, and providing guidance and supervision to ensure the highest quality of care for services rendered.

Initiating external referrals for services where appropriate.

Documenting evaluation and treatment planning, as well as maintaining client records and case notes.

Supporting and educating clients, family members, teachers and other members of the public in carrying over strategies implemented during therapy sessions.

Requirements
- At least two years of experience working within young children
and their families. Recent graduates are welcome to apply if they
have developed strong clinical skills through their fieldwork
placement experiences.
