Overview:
Eagleview, the leader in aerial imagery, is hiring an Aviation Maintenance Technician Apprentice (AMTA) in Fleet Maintenance. The successful candidate is expected to pursue certification as an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic when eligible. The AMTA will support large-scale aerial survey operations. Primary responsibilities will include interfacing with other AMTs, following established best practices for aircraft and camera system maintenance, and performing supervised maintenance and installations in accordance with FAA regulations. The candidate will also be responsible for repairs, modifications, periodic maintenance, and service of aircraft under the supervision of a Federal Aviation Association (FAA) Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) mechanic in accordance with Part 91 operations. We are a fast-paced, energetic team driven by continuous process improvement. We’re looking for motivated, organized, and independent team members. This position requires good communication skills and the ability to quickly pick up new technologies.

- Work under the supervision of a team of AMTs to maintain a fleet of piston engine aircraft in accordance with 14 CFR Part 91 operations.
- Work under the supervision of a team of AMTs repairing aircraft accessory parts.
- Perform supervised servicing and maintenance tasks associated with routine and non-routine maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and assess cause and effect of discrepancies, abnormalities, or safety concerns and report findings to the supervising AMT or AMT Team Lead as applicable.
- Complete appropriate reports and documentation as required.
- Work under the supervision of a team of AMTs to remove and install camera equipment per EV, PFA, and FAA guidelines and requirements.
- Complete all documentation of aircraft work in accordance with PFA, EV, and FAA Policies and Standards.
- When eligible, pursue certification as an Airframe and Powerplant Technician.
- Travel to off-site facilities when necessary to perform supervised maintenance on aircraft.
- Assist with inventory and shipping as necessary.
- Perform tasks to maintain hangar and facilities to 6S standards.
- Perform all tasks to a high standard of safety that meets or exceeds all PFA, FAA, and OSHA requirements.
- Successfully complete all required compliance training.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Entry-level technical understanding of basic maintenance theory
- Valid Driver’s license
- High school diploma
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Entry-level experience working on aircraft
- Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, Illustrated Parts catalogs (IPCs), service instructions, service bulletins, and Airworthiness directives (ADs) in both paper print and electronic format.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good technical and analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interact well with a team.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly.
- Well-organized, dependable, and self-sufficient.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend, and reach.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms.
- Able to occasionally lift or move 50 lbs.
- Able to comfortably travel long and short distances.
