Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and paving machinery with precision and safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical drawings to execute excavation tasks accurately.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment before and after use to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, trenching, digging foundations, and other excavation-related activities.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate machinery operation with other construction activities on-site.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment usage logs, and safety inspections.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating excavators and heavy equipment in a construction environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and other related machinery.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving dump trucks or water trucks preferred.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand construction plans.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) equipment or similar brands is highly desirable.
- Experience working with horizontal drilling equipment or paving machinery is a plus.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
