TITLE:                        SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

The Senior Accountant is responsible for processes designed to protect company assets, i.e., journal entries and weekly reports. They will maintain data and provide oversight for tracking revenue, budgets and related expenses.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinating, monitoring departmental budgets, and variance analysis
2. Design and produce quarterly review; monitor capital projects; oversee distribution of various daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
3. Participate in monthly financial statement review and internal control updates.
4. Work to streamline the compilation of source data for use in financial reports.
5. Evaluate special promotional activities on property from a revenue/profit perspective.
6. Prepare information for all departmental budgets including cost analysis.
7. Assist in the preparation of financial reporting as required.
8. Prepare and keys journal entries as needed.
9. Assist in special projects as required.
10. Verify the accuracy of information transmitted to the financial reporting system.
11. Function effectively within departmental and company policies and procedures.
12. Oversee, execute, and review monthly reconciliation.
13. Assist in preparation of objectives and policies for Eagle Mountain Casino.
14. Maintain confidentiality and discretion as pertains to all financial data.
15. Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
16. Responsible for maintaining regular attendance.
17. Must attend and be certified in all applicable trainings required.
18. All other departmental specific duties as assigned by CFO.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
2. B.A. (accounting or related field) plus two years’ accounting experience in a financial environment required, or five (5) years’ accounting experience in a financial environment.
3. Must be proficient in GAAP and experienced with Financial Accounting Standards.
4. Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. 
5. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
6. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw called conclusions.
7. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and group situations.
8. Extensive computer skills required, including Microsoft Word and Excel or other accounting software.
9. Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:

1. While performing duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear.
2. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
3. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
4. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
5. The noise level is usually low, increasing to loud when on the casino floor.
6. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
7. Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
8. Must be able to perform the essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary : $70,574 - $95,285
