The Casino Cashier is responsible for all cash transactions within Eagle Mountain Casino Cage Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify daily bankroll at time of issue.
- Ensure policies and procedures are applied consistently, equitably, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform all duties as needed.
- Perform all exchange functions of cash for cash, tickets, chips, coin, credit cards and checks.
- Use coin redemption machine; change bags.
- Sign and maintain all receipts for paper and bank accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile and balance all cash, and daily receipts at the end of shift.
- Inform on-coming shift Team Members of unique situations concerning guests.
- Must attend and be certified in all applicable training programs required.
- Performs all other departmental duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- The minimum age requirement is 21.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous cash handling experience required.
- Casino/gaming cashier experience, preferred.
- Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills a must.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong math skills are a must.
- Familiarity with computers required.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is required to talk and hear.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasionally required to and to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to operate mentally and physically in fast paced stressful environment.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
- The noise level is moderate to high on the casino floor.
- Exposed daily to flashing lights, ringing bells, and cigarette smoke associated with a casino type of atmosphere.
- Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
