What are the responsibilities and job description for the Calibration Technician position at Eagle Analytical?
Position Summary
Our rapidly growing analytical laboratory is a unique community of people and values. Our scientific and quality teams are looking to expand our community into the calibration world. The Calibration technician will be involved in a variety of tasks from equipment calibration, troubleshooting, facility maintenance, and providing assistance to engineers and laboratory personnel.
What You'll Do
- This position is considered entry-level and will work under the guidance and direction of engineering team.
- Perform routine calibration of laboratory equipment including analytical balances, pipettes, sensors, biological safety cabinets, and other equipment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of calibration tests, adjustments, repairs, and equipment records.
- Be willing to travel to customer sites to perform and assist with calibration / qualifications activities including equipment and cleanroom certifications.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshoot equipment failures, perform basic repairs, and diagnose problems.
- Assist engineering team with tasks related to facility and laboratory operations, including HVAC, purified water systems, and environmental monitory equipment.
Who You Are
- Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Must be mechanically inclined and detailed oriented.
- Must be able to work in a team environment, communicate well both orally and in writing.
- Must be able and willing to travel if necessary. Real ID required. Passport preferred.
- Physical ability to move about laboratory and office areas,
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
