EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 80,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Program Director for our new program, Nassau Family Resource Center.

Wage: $64,000-70,000, annually

Schedule: Flexible schedule of 35 hours per week with nights and weekends as required

What drives the core purpose of this job:
The Nassau Family Resource Center (FRC) Program Director is responsible for overall program operations, supervision of staff, and direct service delivery including facilitation of parenting education groups, family engagement events, and drop-in parent support activities.
What are the key responsibilities:

Conduct community outreach efforts and engagement for referrals to the program.

Oversee program staff.

Prepare written reports in a timely manner regarding clients’ status with the program and progress.

Investigate and arrange supportive services for clients by establishing relationships and linkages with community-based agencies and treatment programs.

Maintain and complete client records.

Conduct evidenced-based parenting education programs, family engagement events, and drop-in family support activities on a regular basis (including nights & weekends).

Provide support and in-service trainings to program staff and referral agencies.

Attend stakeholder events/workshops and represent the agency at meetings when requested.
What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

Must complete certification as NYS Certified Family Life Educator with NYSPEP upon hiring.

Minimum of 4 years relevant experience working with individuals and families.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Must be proficient in office and computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar program, and e-mail and/or database software skills necessary to perform job responsibilities.

Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/ Haitian Creole speaking)
