We’re supporting a PE-backed residential services company in Northeast Texas seeking an Interim Controller to lead accounting during a leadership transition. This role combines hands-on execution with financial oversight across a multi-entity, project-based business.

Key Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, financial reporting, and variance analysis
• Oversee multi-entity accounting, including consolidations and intercompany
• Lead project accounting, including WIP, POC revenue recognition, and CIE/BIE
• Review project forecasts and partner with operations on performance
• Support cash flow forecasting, working capital, and banking relationships
• Manage accounting team across AP, AR, payroll, and GL
• Handle Texas sales tax compliance

What We're Looking For

• 10 years of experience; prior Controller or Finance Leader
• Experience in construction, HVAC, or project-based services
• Strong expertise in WIP, POC, and project accounting
• Background in multi-entity, multi-location environments
• Hands-on leader comfortable operating in a lean, PE-backed environment

Preferred

• Residential services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, specialty trades)
• ERP experience (Vista, Sage, NetSuite, etc.)
• Exposure to integrations, process improvements, or audit support
