Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and experience with industrial maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and systems. This role requires proficiency in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance across various systems including HVAC/R, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Duties
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities.
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure equipment meets operational standards.
- Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide insights on equipment performance and customer needs.
- Operate scissor lifts and other machinery safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Read and interpret schematics for electrical systems and mechanical assemblies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with internal teams or external clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to analyze complex issues effectively.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, including HVAC/R troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems; knowledge of ammeters and ohmmeters is preferred.
- Ability to work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for system diagnostics.
- Proficiency in welding techniques; experience in
welding is a plus. - Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Military experience is considered an asset but not required.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong customer service skills.
