We are hiring for an Extrusion operator! You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion machinery used in the production of plastic materials. This role ensures that all products meet quality standards and production goals while adhering to safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate plastic extrusion lines according to production specifications.
- Monitor extrusion process to ensure consistent product quality.
- Adjust machine settings (temperature, speed, pressure) as needed.
- Load raw materials (plastic pellets/resin) and monitor material flow.
- Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other tools.
- Record production data and maintain accurate documentation.
- Troubleshoot machinery issues and perform basic maintenance.
- Keep work area clean and organized, adhering to 5S principles.
- Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or malfunctions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year experience in plastic extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with thermoplastic materials (e.g., PVC, PE, PP) a plus.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
