What are the responsibilities and job description for the Job Cost Accountant position at E.R. Snell Contractor, Inc.?
Application Instructions: E.R. Snell Contractor is seeking a highly motivated individual interested in an entry level accounting position in our Snellville office. We are seeking someone with an Accounting, Finance, or similar degree who has excellent communication skills and is experienced in Microsoft Excel.
- Position Description: Job Billing Process
- Process project manager changes to estimated revenue and estimated cost as necessary.
Generate billings and submit pay apps to customers for payment.
Review job activity for additional unbilled revenue.
Job Cost Process
Ensure job costs are properly priced, approved, and paid in a timely manner.
Ensure costs are charged to the correct budgeted job codes.
Provide monthly reporting (budget to actual, explain variances).
Ensure the proper and timely payment of subcontractors.
Job Contracts Process
Follow-up on contract scope changes.
Process change orders.
- Position Requirements: Bachelors in Business in Accounting preferred but not required
- Must be flexible to spend some time in Snellville office for training
Construction Industry Preferred
Microsoft Word, Excel (formulas, queries, pivot tables)
Self Motivated/Driven
Ability to communicate and work well with others
Ability to manage project timelines and meet deadlines
