E-logic is seeking a Senior Application Programmer to provide advanced development, modernization, and maintenance support for the Bureau of Diplomatic Technology's Integrated Personnel Management System (IPMS) from U.S Department of State.. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support web services and re-engineered components based on business needs and priorities.
- Compile code into programs, correct compilation errors, and work closely with test teams to systematically isolate defects and retest requirements.
- Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice, resolve architectural or code limitations, and monitor project results against technical specifications.
- Identify technical risks, construct robust contingency plans, and establish standards and guidelines pertaining to web service development and usage within the environment.
- Participate in change management sessions, functional testing, and meet with Government Project Managers (GPMs) and Contract Project Managers (CPMs) to ensure proper execution.
- Strong senior-level programming skills with extensive experience developing HTTPS/SOAP/Restful web services.
- Advanced experience developing using XML/JSON formats and XSLT.
- Deep experience with RDBMS, database normalization, and writing Systems Documentation and Unit Test Plans.
- Proven history participating in Peer Reviews, configuration management, and change control processes.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
- Exceptional capability to communicate highly technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
