About the Role
This is a key position within the Tendering & Pre-Construction team. The Technical Proposal Engineer – Primary will be responsible for developing high-quality technical content for competitive tender submissions and supporting the delivery of technically compliant, cost-effective solutions.
The role will work closely with estimating, engineering, suppliers, and project stakeholders throughout the bid process.
Key Responsibilities
- Review technical requirements within tender documentation and provide technical guidance during bid development
- Identify value engineering opportunities to deliver cost-effective and technically compliant solutions
- Specify major electrical equipment in accordance with client requirements and industry standards
- Coordinate technical deliverables including:
- Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- General arrangements/layouts
- Technical calculations
- Equipment schedules
- Project Execution Plans
- Provide technical support to estimating teams throughout the tender lifecycle
- Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure proposal quality and compliance
- Maintain and manage technical bid documentation throughout the submission process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent electrical trade qualification
- Previous experience supporting electrical infrastructure, utility, energy, or industrial projects
- Experience within tendering, pre-construction, proposal engineering, or project delivery environments
- Project management exposure or experience preferred

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines within a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with engineering and Microsoft Office software platforms
Salary : $140,000 - $180,000
