About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Proposal Engineer – Civil to join a growing pre-construction team, supporting the development of competitive and technically robust proposals for civil engineering projects.
This role will focus on supporting earthworks and drainage strategies for tender submissions while collaborating closely with estimating, design, and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the estimating team in developing earthwork and drainage methodologies for bid submissions
- Review bid documents, specifications, and preliminary designs to help develop technical solutions
- Coordinate with design, planning, and commercial teams to align technical proposal inputs
- Assist with preparation of technical narratives, sketches, and proposal documentation
- Conduct research related to site conditions, materials, and construction methodologies
- Participate in technical review meetings and track proposal-related action items
- Maintain and organize technical documentation throughout the bid process
- Ensure submissions are accurate, compliant, and delivered within required timelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Previous experience supporting infrastructure or construction bid/tender submissions
- Familiarity with NEC contracts, method statements, or project scheduling processes
- Exposure to BIM, GIS, or environmental considerations within civil construction projects
Skills & Competencies
- Understanding of earthworks and drainage principles within construction projects
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
- Knowledge of bid/tender processes and proposal development
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and exposure to CAD or Civil 3D
- Organized, collaborative, and eager to grow within a fast-paced team environment
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
