e&e is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a hybrid contract opportunity in Harrisburg, PA!
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This role collaborates with stakeholders across business and IT teams to analyze processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the implementation of effective solutions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute to projects that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand, document, and map current and future-state business processes.
- Analyze business operations to identify process inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in gathering, documenting, and validating business and system requirements.
- Support the development of user stories, functional specifications, and process documentation.
- Participate in project planning, implementation, and system enhancement initiatives.
- Assist with test planning, test execution, defect tracking, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Generate reports, documentation, and status updates to support project and operational objectives.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather information and communicate recommendations.
- Monitor system and process performance, identify issues, and assist in developing corrective actions.
- Support the implementation of business process optimization strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to established business analysis standards, methodologies, and organizational policies.
- Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 0–2 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, project support, or a related role.
- Understanding of business process analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn new technologies, methodologies, and business processes quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or academic project experience related to business analysis, systems analysis, or process improvement.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other project delivery methodologies.
- Exposure to requirements management, testing, or business process mapping tools.
- Experience creating process flows, user stories, or business documentation.
