Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Youth Care Worker/Mentor to join our team in Dodge County. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting young individuals, particularly those with special needs, by fostering their development and well-being. This position requires a commitment to providing direct support and care, while also promoting positive social interactions and personal growth.

This position would involve providing respite care for a child with ADHD. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys arts and crafts and play based activities. The provider to potentially work both at the children's home and do some community-based activities. People with behavioral experience are encouraged to apply

Duties

• Provide one-on-one in home care assisting with daily routines.
• Behavior management techniques
• Support clients and engage in age appropriate activities.
• Transportation as needed with potential community outings.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians and management
• Create a safe and supportive atmosphere
• Ensure privacy and maintain HIPAA guidelines.

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience with behavior management and techniques
• Knowledge of different developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses
• Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to caregiving
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for the individual's privacy
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Previous experience working with developmental disabilities, special needs, childcare, or in caregiving.
• Skills in babysitting or other forms of child supervision will be advantageous.
• Experience or education in special education, social work, or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavioral health practices and techniques for working with youth with diverse needs.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with youth effectively.
• Experience in home community care settings is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being able to work independently when necessary.
• A passion for helping young individuals thrive and succeed in their personal development.
