Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated in home provider to join our team in Dodge County. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting young individuals, particularly those with special needs, by fostering their development and well-being. This position requires a commitment to providing direct support and care, while also promoting positive social interactions and personal growth.

This position would involve providing respite care for a child with behavior disorders, and developmental disabilities such as autism, ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, etc.. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys arts and crafts and play based activities, is engaged and active when working with children, and is comfortable working both in client homes and out in community settings. The provider to potentially work both at the children's home and do some community-based activities. People with behavioral and emotional regulation experience are encouraged to apply

Position shifts primarily include mornings, after school, and occasional weekend.

Flexible Scheduling

Duties

  • Provide one-on-one in home care assisting with daily routines.
  • Behavior management techniques
  • Support clients and engage in age appropriate activities.
  • Support clients emotional awareness, regulation, and safety.
  • Transportation as needed with potential community outings.
  • Develop working plan with families to support goals/needs.
  • Individualize care, create activities, and adapt in the moment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians and management
  • Create a safe and supportive atmosphere
  • Ensure privacy and maintain HIPAA guidelines.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience with behavior management and techniques
  • Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to caregiving
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for the individual's privacy
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Experience with developmental disabilities, special needs, childcare, or in caregiving.
  • Experience in special education, social work, or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with youth effectively.
  • Experience in home community care settings is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and independently.
  • A passion for helping young individuals thrive and succeed in their personal development.
