Security Sales Engineer(Outside Sales)

Role Description The Security Sales Engineer (Outside Sales) is a full-time, on-site role based in Centennial, CO. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, conducting site visits, and presenting integrated door access and Video Management System solutions to prospective and existing clients. Daily activities include meeting with customers, assessing their technical and security requirements, preparing proposals and quotations, and collaborating with internal engineering and project teams to ensure accurate system design. The role also involves providing product demonstrations, supporting system integration discussions, and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships through ongoing communication and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in outside sales, preferably in security systems, door access control systems, video managemenr systems or related technical solutions.
• Strong technical aptitude for integrated building systems, including card access, video surveillance, and intercom.
• Ability to perform site assessments, interpret technical specifications, and translate customer needs into solution designs.
• Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline, meet revenue targets, and maintain accurate sales documentation and reports.
• Comfort with learning and using graphical user interfaces and related software tools for demonstrations and proposals.
• Capacity to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and coordinate with internal teams as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience with Genetec, Lenel, Milestone, Schneider Electric, Axis cameras, Hanwha cameras or similiar platforms is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to customer sites.
