We are seeking a dedicated Janitor/Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our commercial spaces. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial skills, experience with various cleaning techniques, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle chemical agents safely while cleaning surfaces, floors, restrooms, and common areas.
- Operate floor buffers and other custodial equipment to maintain floor care standards.
- Conduct industrial cleaning procedures as required for large-scale or specialized environments.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and light painting to support overall building upkeep.
- Follow safe lifting practices when moving heavy objects or equipment to prevent injury.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management of replenishment needs.
- Ensure all cleaning activities adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Support additional maintenance duties including porter responsibilities and general facility upkeep.
