Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
- Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care techniques
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, including deep cleaning of large areas
- Assist with custodial responsibilities such as restocking supplies and maintaining cleaning equipment
- Perform residential painting or minor maintenance tasks when required
- Ensure all areas are sanitized according to safety standards
- Operate cleaning machinery and tools safely and effectively
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure consistency and quality of service
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
- Experience with facilities maintenance or Porter duties is advantageous
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
