Job Summary:
Are you a detail-oriented engineering student looking to make a real impact? DVM Power Control is seeking a motivated engineering intern to join our team! The Engineering Intern plays a crucial role in optimizing our data and supporting ongoing engineering department efforts. You will learn to navigate our vast AutoCAD drawing library and understand the fundamentals behind our custom-manufactured switchgear and electrical equipment.

Location: Onsite at our West Chester, PA or North Wales, PA location.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
The following list of responsibilities is not all inclusive, additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs. DVM retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position should operational needs warrant.
- Log parts and materials specified for product builds.
- Interpret schematics and drawings to determine part measurements.
- Assist in developing processes to improve quality and efficiency of documentation.
- Organize and maintain essential data in engineering systems and databases.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the VP of Engineering.

Education and Experience:
- Current enrollment in an Engineering degree program at a 4-year college (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- Experience with 3D design is a plus.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and related software. Experience with Solid Edge a plus.
- Satisfactory completion of additional background screening.
Physical Requirements:
- The work environment is a typical office environment, with quiet to moderate noise level, and traditional lighting.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and operating a computer.
- Must be able to communicate effectively using phones or computer software.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities.
- Must be able to travel between DVM locations as needed.
