Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer is expected to collaborate effectively at all levels with key stakeholders in the development of quality engineering drawings to meet client and regulatory requirements. The incumbent in these roles will be expected to work with QA and Testing, to ensure a continuous improvement in the level of quality in design and related efficiencies and be prepared to be a hands-on collaborator with members of the Production Team(s). The Electrical Engineer will be an effective multi-tasker and highly organized with process documentation.
Responsibilities:
- The following list of responsibilities is not all-inclusive, additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs. DVM retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position should operational needs warrant.
- Create designs specific to low voltage & medium voltage electrical switchgear assemblies/systems, replacement breakers, and related equipment.
- Effectively collaborate with the key stakeholders (mechanical engineers, production, purchasing, vendors, etc.) to develop complete drawings, submittals, and BOM packages that meet customer, manufacturing, regulatory, and project requirements.
- Work with QA and Testing Teams to develop and review testing plans.
- Follow and develop standard design processes and documentations to improve quality and efficiency in engineering design.
- Make changes and corrections in electrical design throughout the life of the product.
- Effectively support other departments such as project management, production, and sales.
- Detailed-oriented and organized with documentation.
- Has the passion to work closely and hands-on with the production team to resolve issues quickly.

Required Knowledge/Experience:
- 4-year bachelor’s degree required.
- EIT (Engineer in Training) Certificate (preferred).
- 1-3 years of design experience in switchgear, control circuit, UL891, and UL1558, and electrical design, etc. (preferred)
- Experience in generator and automation controls, specifically PLC/HMI knowledge of Rockwell/Siemens and Woodward. (preferred)
- Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience with REVIT and Inventor. (preferred)
- Satisfactory completion of additional background and drug screening.
Required Skill/Abilities:
- Ability to work on the assignment with minimal guidance and to navigate difficult situations and tasks by working with key stakeholders and peers.
- Communication and presentation skills to work with teams of various levels of technical understanding.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
