What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Mathematics Teacher (LTS) - 8th Grade position at Duxbury Middle School?
Duxbury Middle School is anticipating the need for a highly qualified certified Middle School Mathematics teacher for a long term substitute assignment starting on August 26 through October 27, 2026
Requirements:
- Current certification from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Mathematics (5-8) with SEI Endorsement
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from accredited college or university
- Classroom management skills that support students social emotional learning
- Experience meeting the needs of diverse learners
- Ability to plan and implement lessons that are aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
Preferred qualifications:
- Particular comfort teaching topics including pre-algebra and algebra 1 units.
