Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cerner CCL Developer / Technical Consultant with strong expertise in Cerner Millennium, CCL scripting, healthcare data integration, and EHR implementations. The ideal candidate will work closely with clinical, technical, and operational teams to support large-scale EHR initiatives, data migrations, system integrations, and performance optimization.

This role requires deep knowledge of clinical workflows, healthcare operations, and Cerner Millennium architecture, along with strong development and data integration experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts to support clinical and operational workflows.
• Support large-scale EHR implementations, migrations, and optimization initiatives within Cerner environments.
• Translate clinical and operational requirements into technical specifications and data solutions.
• Develop and support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Perform data migration, reporting, and integration activities across healthcare systems.
• Build and support REST / SOA services and system integrations.
• Work with Oracle databases, SQL, and Linux environments to support enterprise healthcare applications.
• Optimize performance of CCL scripts, database queries, and integrations in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical teams, application analysts, architects, and integration engineers.
• Support healthcare data reporting and analytics initiatives.
• Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system performance tuning.
• Assist with cloud-based deployment and integration on platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 11 years of experience in healthcare IT or related technical roles.
• Strong experience with Cerner Command Language (CCL) development and optimization.
• Deep understanding of Cerner Millennium architecture.
• Experience supporting EHR implementations, migrations, and system optimization.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Linux, and Oracle databases.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL processes and enterprise data integrations.
• Experience working with REST / SOA services.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, networking, and system performance tuning.
• Strong experience with data extraction, system integration, and healthcare reporting environments.
• Ability to translate clinical workflows into technical solutions.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Cerner Millennium environments in large healthcare organizations.
• Prior experience as a Senior Cerner Consultant or Technical Lead.
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as:
• Java
• C / C
• Python
• Perl
• OCI
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
