EXPERIENCE AND
Competencies
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (NYS Teacher Certification preferred; uncertified candidates with 60 college credits or relevant degree may qualify depending on regional civil service/district requirements).
- Clearance: Fingerprint clearance through the New York State Education Department (NYSED) prior to appointment.

- Classroom Management: Strong ability to maintain order, foster an inclusive environment, and manage student behavior across diverse settings (Special Education, CTE, Alternative Ed).

- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written skills to interact effectively with students, school staff, and building administrators.
- Patience & Flexibility: High degree of personal resilience, professional judgment, and flexibility when adjusting to daily schedule or assignment changes.
- Basic Educational Technology: Proficiency with interactive whiteboards, online learning management systems (e.g., Google Classroom), and administrative software.
