Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to assist with substantive legal work and case management. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently and supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation.
A degree or paralegal certification is not required; however, candidates must have either formal education/training or meaningful experience working in a law office or as a paralegal.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, contracts, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using various databases and resources to support case development
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all records are accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible
- Draft summaries of legal documents, depositions, and witness statements to facilitate case review
- File pleadings and other documents with the court (electronic and/or in person)
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and external parties to gather necessary information and schedule meetings
- Support the preparation for trials, hearings, and meetings by compiling exhibits and relevant documentation
- Monitor deadlines and manage calendars to ensure timely submission of filings and compliance with court requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar legal support role; familiarity with various areas of law is a plus
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal information efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in document management
- Proficiency in legal software applications, document management systems, and Microsoft Office
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for clear interaction with team members and external parties
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- A degree or certification in paralegal studies or a related field is preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
